Nicola Hunte

I approach interior design as an act of translation, turning personality, history, and sensibility into space. I’m drawn to the tension between softness and structure, where thoughtful details and natural materials come together in a way that feels both calm and expressive.

I was raised between British and American cultures, and as a biracial designer, that perspective continues to shape how I see design. It made me aware early on of how different environments influence the way we live and relate to one another. My work reflects that awareness through spaces that feel layered yet cohesive, refined but comfortable, personal without feeling overdone.

My background spans theater, fashion, and film, which led me to approach design through the lens of storytelling. I hold a degree in Theater from Pepperdine University and studied art and design in London through the University of the Arts London. I think deeply about how a space supports daily life, reflects identity, and evolves over time. I believe a well designed home has the ability to both reflect and elevate the people who live within it.
